An Important Update from the Paradise Adventist Church, Maranatha Volunteers, and Love Paradise RE: the Camp Fire Shed Project:
The past several weeks have been an extraordinary time as the world grapples with the ever-changing circumstances of COVID-19. The virus has had a widespread impact on the operation of organizations across the globe, including ours.
The safety and wellness of everyone involved with this project, as well as our community at large, are our highest priority. We have been carefully monitoring reports and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local governments, and the World Health Organization, and based on guidelines recently issued, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Camp Fire Shed Project (originally scheduled from April 12 to May 1) for a later date that will be determined as the situation evolves.
The Camp Fire Shed Project was planned to meet a very urgent need among those recovering from catastrophe. This delay is a heartbreaking setback, so we ask you to continue to include this project in your prayers, and we thank everyone who has been willing to help us throughout this journey. We will communicate with you as we have more information. May God bless and keep you all.

April 2019
If you really love Paradise, you might want to get involved with an event coming up on April 20 - 22. Love Paradise is a team of volunteers from faith communities, non-profits and community business and civic clubs.
The program is affiliated with Love Our Cities, a faith-based program of community involvement. Twice a year, volunteers undertake projects to maintain and beautify our town that would otherwise not get done. Some are on private property. Others are outside the scope of the town’s responsibility.
Pastor Garrison Chaffee manages the Love Paradise project. “We’re still looking for businesses and non-profits to partner with us for materials and tools for projects, such as brooms, rakes, shovels, paint, etc.” They also need some partners to step up for larger funding for projects, such as helping a family in need get into an abandoned home by helping make it livable and safe again!
